THE FLOWER

DELTARUNE Chapter 5 — subtitled Festival Day — released June 24, 2026 as a free update. It takes place mostly in the Flower Kingdom, a Dark World born inside Flower King, the flower shop owned by Asgore. Its main antagonist is Flowery: a golden flower who claims to be Asgore's best friend, peppers his speech with plant puns, and briefly kicks Ralsei out of the party so he can join you himself.

THE MISSPELLING

Flowery exists because ten years ago everyone kept misspelling Flowey as Flowery and it was driving Toby Fox crazy. So he made the misspelling canon: another golden flower, actually named Flowery — so now everyone misspells HIM as Flowey. Per Toby, he's a parody of a "Mary Sue": trying to be perfect, with no idea what it's actually like to live.

THE GLUE.

Flowery's dialogue comes with voice clips — spoken nonsense syllables. One of them is simply: "Glue."

The wiki logs it as used multiple times, in various, seemingly random, contexts: while handing Asgore a wet homemade pie in Garden. In the Laddery, when it's taken as furniture. Near the exit to the Light World, where he announces that he has found one.

It is never explained. It does not need to be.

THE MEME

The community did what communities do. "Hey guys, I think I found a glue!" became the chapter's defining quote within days — filed alongside Jarona!, mini peppers, and the cut line Blingo Blizzard! The game itself even contains the line "This candy is the glue that keeps us close!"
